The North Star Trauma Recovery Path

Reclaim Your Life After Trauma with North Star Trauma Recovery Path

A guided online program designed by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist & Trauma Specialist
If trauma has knocked you off course, you may feel like your life has shrunk and you’ve lost your sense of self.
You may find that you want to move forward, but:

  • You’re exhausted from battling distressing thoughts, images and memories.
  • Your confidence feels like it’s vanished
  • You often feel anxious or irritable
  • Triggers derail you when you least expect them to and cause you to feel scared or upset.
  • You’ve stopped doing the things you enjoyed and don’t recognise the person you’ve become
  • You feel more distant from your friends and loved ones

If this sounds like you, you’re not alone.

I’ve been helping people overcome distressing or traumatic experiences for over 20 years, and I see these symptoms and behaviours all the time.

If you’ve struggled to recover from your trauma, you may feel like it’s your fault.

This isn’t true. It's not your fault.
Distressing events often leave a lasting imprint on our whole nervous system. This means that we experience and respond to the world differently. We are more sensitive to signs of threat or danger, and we often relive the things that happened to us. This is our brain's way of trying to keep us safe and avoid future harm, but it can cause a lot of distress for us and can stop us from living our lives in the way we’d like to.
Trauma changes the way the brain and body respond to the world.

Healing is possible.
You can reclaim your identity, reconnect with yourself, and rebuild a life that feels like yours again.
